Four teams from Nagaland to compete at Pushpak Car Rally

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 6 (MExN): Four teams from Nagaland will be participating at the Pushpak Car Rally at Tinsukia, Assam on January 9. The rally is being organised by the Assam Motor Sports Club in association with Assam Pushpak Travel Agency on the TSD (Time, Speed and Distance) format.  The event is recognised by the Federation of Motor Sports Club (FMSC) - the only motor sports body of the country recognised by the government of India.   Along Aier (driver) and Philip Lam (navigator), Tali Akang (driver) and Mar Aier (navigator), Biju Aowomi (driver) and Chandrashekar (navigator), Toshi Aier (driver) and Azo (navigator) will make up the four teams.  The goal of the rally is to ensure completion of the correct route at the correct speed and arrive at unknown checkpoints in the middle of the route, precisely on time. The competitor with the least number of penalty points will be the winner of the rally. There will be different classes of prize winners like - overall winners, ladies’ teams, best decorated car, etc.  The total route to be covered is approximately 150 kilometres in about six hours and the maximum speed is 45 kmph. The race will be flagged off from Tinsukia from the Sarbananda Singh Stadium and terminate at Dibrugarh.
