Kohima, May 29 (MExN): In observance of Menstrual Hygiene Day 2020, FPA India Nagaland Branch in partnership with SELCO conducted an online poetry competition on menstruation.
FPA India Nagaland Branch Programme Officer Akangkokla Namo in a press release informed that the activity was initiated with the hash tag #don'twhisper to create a platform for young people to express their thoughts about period utilizing their poetic language. Thenusau Seyie emerged as the winner followed by Ajungla Ozukum and Asoienla winning the 2nd and 3rd runner up respectively.
The competition was judged by Moanungla Kevichusa, Honorary Secretary FPA India, Nagaland Branch and retired HOD of English Department, Kohima College.
Meanwhile, a press note issued by Ville Rhetso, Counsellor, FPA India Nagaland Branch informed that the FPA India Nagaland Branch also distributed sanitary pads produced from its Sanitary pads production centre and face mask to women vegetable vendors in Kohima town as part of awareness and sensitization’.
