DIMAPUR, APRIL 13 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has urged the Nagaland Government to frame out guidelines to monitor the functioning of the burgeoning coaching institutes in the state. A representation addressed to the Chief Secretary highlighted that with an increasing number of candidates appearing for competitive examinations every year, a good number of aspirants are seeking admission to the mushrooming coaching institutes in the state. However, with no proper guidelines for the functioning of these coaching institutes and no mechanism being set to monitor in the fee structuring, the candidates applying for admission to these private coaching institutes are compelled to pay the fees as set by the institutes regardless of the facilities and faculty provided to the aspirants. The NSF has therefore appealed the Chief Secretary for strict verification of the existing coaching institutes and frame out regulations for approval of establishing new coaching institutes. It also said the fee structures should be set as per the facilities that are made available for the students.
