Free-For-All Job Fair at NIIT Dimapur Center

Dimapur, March 1 (MExN): NIIT Dimapur center has been regularly organizing job fairs for the last 18 years as a match-maker in between various organizations and the job seekers. There is a growing trend amongst the youth of Nagaland to optimize the available opportunities. They are pro-actively up-skilling themselves for the required vacancies.  

Dignity of labor has taken the rightful precedence over the egoistical attitudes. Patience is the hallmark of the enterprising youth of today. Learning the needful and unlearning the obsolete are the qualities being imbibed which was hitherto unseen here. Regular admonitions of the leaders to not to wait for the government jobs seems to be reverberating across the tribes of Nagaland. Likewise, social media is helping the dissemination of the opportunities in real time with due assistance from the community leaders.  

With the regular openings of shopping malls and other enterprises, dignified opportunities are available for the job seekers who match the needed skills. Good communication & computing skills with dynamic personalities of our youth are in high demand which obviously leads to poaching with better salary offers too. This trend seems to be multiplying with the introduction of digitization & online dealings in every sphere.  

More than 50 candidates attended the mini job fair held at NIIT Dimapur on March 1 where from 17 candidates were selected by Pantaloons Dimapur and Amazon India partner at Dimapur, besides 10 getting short-listed. Raja Gurung, Area HR, East Store and Sanjib Paul, Store Manager, Jorhat recruited for Pantaloons Dimapur where as Anish Goswami, NE Team Lead and Ashim Roychowdhury, Dimapur partner represented Amazon India. NIIT Dimapur team Royal tigers wishes them all the best for a bright career.  

National Job Fair on March 17

National Job Fair will be held at Unity College, Dimapur on March 17. IQAC (Internal Quality Assessment Cell), Unity College and NIIT will jointly organize it in morning & afternoon sessions for the benefit of the interested recruiters locally and nationally. More than 30 organizations from various industries are expected to participate with more than 500 vacancies in all kinds of IT and IT enabled service roles.
