A three month long free archery coaching camp for girls of Phek district concluded today at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Boys' Hostel, Chozuba.
The camp was organized and supported by District Administration and DLCW-Mahila Shakti Kendra (BBBP), Phek in collaboration with Chakhesang Archery Association with coaches Chekrovolu Swüro, DSP, Archery Coach, Hunezo Thisa, Nagaland Archery Coach and Khosazo Thisa, Archery Coach.
Mentionably, the camp was inaugurated on April 26 last by Dr. Chotisüh Sazo, MLA, 18th Chozuba Assembly Constituency.
Altogether, 42 girls were enrolled wherein 29 participants completed the course.
Free lodging and food were provided to the participants.
Sports equipment has been provided by the district administration.
CHC Chozuba, GHSS Chozuba, churches and various NGOs also extended assistance for this coaching camp.
The closing ceremony was graced by Razouvolie Dozo, NCS, Deputy Commissioner, Phek and Vesupra Kezo, NPS, Superintendent of Police, Phek as the special guests.
Obangnener Jamir, EAC Chozuba chaired the programme while Hunezo Thisa, Nagaland Archery Coach, delivered introductory remarks.
Vote of thanks was proposed by Sedukholü Thisa, principal, GHSS, Chozuba.
