Free breast cancer screening camp in Mon underway

Mon, February 5 (MExN): The District Administration, Mon in collaboration with Umang, Hyderabad conducted free breast cancer screening camp at District Hospital, Mon on February 5.

Deputy Commissioner, Mon Thavaseelan K, IAS in a circular stated that, the breast screening technology developed by Nirami is unique as it is non-touch, non-invasion and non-radiation base. He further stated that priority would be given to woman above the age of 35 years. Pregnant women and lactating mothers will not be eligible for the screening. 

The district administration is organizing the free breast cancer screening camps under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, informed a DIPR report. 

The camp has been conducted at Tizit town and Tobu on February 3;  Mopong and Naganimora on February 4; and on February 5 it was conducted at District Hospital, Mon for government employees and spouses of male employees and Longching Council hall.

The camp will cover the following schedule:
February 6: Aboi, ADCs office and Wakching PHC
February 7: Phomching, PHC and at District Hospital, Mon (for DEF staff and spouses of Staff)
February 8: Chen PHC and Sheanghah Chingnyu Council hall
February 9: District Hospital Mon (for KNSK and Women Church leaders
February 10: District Hospital, Mon for Tanlao ward, Papong ward and Zaklom ward
February 11: District Hospital Mon for Shamnyu ward and Wagiem ward
February 12: District Hospital, Mon for Walo ward, Thamnan ward and Chingai ward 
February 13: District Hospital, Mon for Techahan ward and Jahjon ward
February 14: District Hospital, Mon for Shantham ward and Tompang ward
February 15: District Hospital for Mon Sadar Villages
