Dimapur, April 8 (MExN): A two-day free cancer screening and awareness camp concluded in Dimapur on April 7. Organized by SD Jain Samaj Dimapur, it was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, Kesonyu Yhome in the presence of Om Prakash Sethi and many other dignitaries and members of the Samaj.
For the programme, the All India Marwari Yuva Manch provided a Volvo bus equipped with all the latest medical equipments and technicians, while six doctors from different fields took care of 355 patients, informed a press release from Sanjay Sethi, IPR, SD Jain Samaj. The staffs of Digambar Charitable Clinic were also working round the clock for the benefit of the needy patients, it added.
The closing ceremony on April 7 was chaired by Om Prakashji Sethi. All the doctors and attendants were felicitated by the Jain Samaj members and were well appreciated for the good work done by them. Ritesh Khater, Provincial President of Purvotar Marwari Yuva Manch and Pradeepji Pareek were present at the closing ceremony and were also felicitated. The President appreciated the good work done by the Marwari Yuva Manch and assured all necessary support in their future assignments.
The organising committee headed by Ajit Sethi and Joint Secretary Sushil Paharia have also thanked all who participated and took pain in making the programme successful, the release added.
