
Chümoukedima, January 30 (MExN): NITI Nagaland will host a Free Career Guidance Talk at the CTC Conference Hall in Ward-6, Chümoukedima on Saturday, February 1 at 2:00 pm. The event will cater to students from Class IX to XII, as well as repeaters of the NEET and JEE exams. The session is open to students, their parents and guardians, STEM teachers, public leaders, and representatives from local NGOs, offering a chance to engage with experts about career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
The session will spotlight careers in computers, medical fields, engineering, and cybersecurity, and will feature prominent speakers from Nagaland. Lhousito Khro, Chairperson of Chümoukedima Town Council, will serve as the Chief Guest. The resource persons for the event will include Er. Rishav Sethi, Software Engineer and CEO of NITI Nagaland, and Pangerkumzuk Longkumer, Founder and CEO of NexusCipher Guard India.
Er Sethi, a fifth-generation Dimapurian and JEE Topper of Nagaland in 2016, has been a driving force in the development of several initiatives. He is the creator of the Hornbill App, Blood Donors Connect, and the recently launched NBSE Connect App. Sethi has also held leadership roles, including General Secretary of the Delhi Technological University Students Union, where he represented 14,000 engineers.
Pangerkumzuk Longkumer, a self-taught cybersecurity expert, will provide insights on the growing need for digital security professionals. After the WannaCry ransomware attack inspired his career shift, Longkumer became a leading advocate for cybersecurity education. His work includes guest lecturing and advising on cybersecurity awareness programs and he currently serves as an Advisor to MMB Cyber School.
The event aims to inspire students and empower them with knowledge about emerging career paths, especially in the high-demand fields of cybersecurity, engineering, and medical science.
