Free congenital heart disease screening camp in Kohima

A free congenital heart disease screening camp was conducted from February 18 to 19 here at Naga Hospital, Kohima.


It was organized by Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK), National Health Mission Nagaland in association with Manipur Heart Foundation and Sky Hospital, Imphal.


A total of 107 children were screened, out of which 53 children were diagnosed with congenital heart disease.


Talking to media persons, Dr Khriesi Sachu, State Nodal Officer School Health and Adolescent Health Nagaland said that further treatment/management of diagnosed children will be done at Sky Hospital Imphal.


The treatment cost will be borne by RBSK NHM as per treatment package model costing set by Government of India.
