Free enrolment drive for beneficiaries in Mon

MON, JULY 12 (MExN): The District Administration, Mon and the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland organised a one day free enrolment drive for the beneficiaries of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan ArogyaYojana (AB-PMJAY) on July 12 at the Town Council Hall, Mon.


Deputy Commissioner Mon Thavaseelan K stated that, AB-PMJAY Scheme aims to provide coverage of Rs five lakh per family annually benefiting poor families for secondary and tertiary care hospitalisation through a network of Empanelled Health Care Provider. AB-PMJAY is free health insurance scheme, he added.


The DC called upon the beneficiaries in the district to enroll their names in order to avail this scheme. Dr Sao Tunyi, Consultant, GIZ PMJAY Nagaland in his awareness talk on Ayushman Bharat PMJAY said that Ayushman Bharat is one of the world’s largest government funded healthcare programmes. The programme will provide cashless and paperless access to service for the beneficiaries at the point of service and help to reduce expenditure for hospitalisation. Eligible people can avail the benefits in the government and listed private hospitals. Dr Sao elaborated on the document requirements for enrolment for AB-PMJAY as: Valid Family ID—Ration Card, Letter from Village/Ward Council clearly listing out all the members in the household with photos pasted and signed across by Chairman Panchayat/Village Council, and Prime Minister’s Letter to the beneficiary. In case of 1(c), either (a) or (b) is mandatory. Personal IDs include Aadhaar Card, Voters ID, Pan Card, RSBY Card (2016-17), any Government issued ID Card.
