
Wokha, March 30 (DIPR): Free eye camp and cataract surgery was conducted at Dr. Motsuo Memorial District Hospital Wokha from March 27 till 30. The programme was organized by District Health Society, Dimapur which was sponsored by National Programme for Control of Blindness Nagaland (NPCB).
Altogether 232 patients suffering from poor vision were screened during the camp, out of which 30 free cataract operations was done. The patients were given free medicine and spectacles.
The camp was conducted under the supervision of CMO, Wokha Dr. Enrithung Lotha and Dr. Imna Pokyim both eye specialist. A six member-team from Dimapur District Hospital led by Dr Imna Pokyim assisted the camp. State Programme Officer NPCB, Dr. Ponsukui also attended the free cataract operation camp.
M/S, Wokha Dr.Robin Lotha advised the patients to strictly follow the direction given by the doctors to avoid complication and to take the prescribed medicines on time for speedy recovery.
