Free Football Grassroots camp at Pfutsero

Our Correspondent Pfutsero | October 19 Altogether, 202 children are taking part at the five day long Free Football Grassroots camp under the aegis of Nagaland Football Coaches Association (NFCA) at Pfutsero Sports Complex under the theme “Make Football Happen.”   Out of 202, 20 belonging to girls and 182 boys in the age group of 6 to 14.The camp started on October 16 and will conclude on October 20.   Addressing the camp today, NFCA president Roko Angami expressed happiness over the good number of participants and asked them to actively involve in the field of football alongside their study.   “Study and sports has to go together,” he said   He said that NFCA has been formed to promote football in Nagaland. So far it has conducted similar camp in Dimapur and Kohima. The Association will next hold similar camp in Peren and Mokokchung.   He also asked them to be discipline and ad work hard to excel in life.   He thanked The Kalos for assisting the camp, the coaches and also minister for environment, forest and climate change Neiba Kronu towards the successful conduct of this camp.   He also thanked parents for sending their children to this camp.   NFCA finance secretary Vesupra Kezo said “We want you to become star and this can happen only when you play from early age.   He asked the participants to stay fit and strong to become prominent footballers and represent the state and the country at the international level in future.   He assured that the NFCA would guide the talented kids to the various tournaments and also connect them to different clubs as well as football academy.   Certificates will be awarded to the participants on October 20.   The ongoing camp is being conducted by 11 coaches William Koso, Nzanthung Ezung, Diethozotuo Neya, Neizokhrielie Sanchu, Zakielatuo Seletsu, Ciu Zashumo, Kadilinbo Zeliang, Thangchapu Rongmei, Rukuzo Ruho, Vesupra Kezo and Daniel.
