It plans to further hold such camps all over the state.   Commenting on the game’s scenario, William Koso, NFCA Technical Director, says that the “football scene in Nagaland is tournament driven.”   However, the association is hopeful that “resources will eventually open up,” and with it, football in Nagaland can be in a position of being self reliant.   The NFCA has drawn ambitious plans. Following the grassroots programs, it plans to introduce a league system for different age groups in all districts. This, the association hopes, can gradually grow into a state league.   As the young children perform different drills with the ball under the watchful eyes of the coaches, one can be hopeful that the sporting scenario in the state will eventually improve.   The NFCA came into existence in September 20, 2016 after all certified coaches of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and the All India Football Federation (AIFF) in the state came together to develop football in Nagaland.
