Dimapur, January 27: In commemoration of the golden jubilee celebration of animal welfare fortnight 2014, free livestock vaccination cum treatment was carried out in villages under Dhansiripar block by a team of six doctors along with filed staffs under the team leader Dr Mudozo, Deputy Director, investigation & lab centre, Dimapur.
The team leader stated in a press release that the focus of the programme was for the prevention of outbreak of FMD, swine fever and Brucellosis, which is prevalent in the area. Many diseased animals were treated and medicines and deworming were distributed to the farmers.
