Kohima, July 7 (MExN): A free Medical camp was organized by 2nd NAP Unit Family Welfare in association with  heath and family welfare department under the aegis of CMO Mokokchung on  July 7 at 2nd NAP Battalion Headquarter, Alichen.

The camp also featured awareness program on sensitization & awareness on TB, Substance abuse, HIV/AIDS and ill effects of tobacco use.

Seven Medical Doctors, 3 Councillors and 15 supporting staff from CMO Mokokchung along with unit medical staff conducted the camp.

A topic on sensitization and awareness on TB was delivered by Dr.R.Toshila Jamir, District Tuberculosis officer Mokokchung, substance abuse by Achila, OST Counsellor, IMDH, HIV/AIDS by Sapo Aier, counsellor, mobile ICTC and ill effects of Tobacco use by Nukshiwati Longchar, District Consultant NTCP.

The camp  was undertaken under the initiative of the unit commandant Vekhosa Chakhesang.

Dr. Lhishelo Tsuhah was the team leader of the camp.

132 patients including lady wife of the unit personnel's, children of the unit personnel's and elderly persons within the camp areas were treated and provided with free medicines.
