Free medical camp was organised at Zhavame village on July 17.

Zhavame, July 17 (MExN): A one-day free medical camp was jointly organized by Zhavame Village Council, Zhavame Youth Society and Village Health Committee (VHC) in collaboration with the medical fraternity of Pfütsero COB Commander Assam Rifles at Zhavame village on July 17.
Recognising that health is a critical issue in the remote areas of the state particularly after paddy transplantation, a press release stated that the medical camp is a much-needed endeavour for its natives to avail medical consultation and get their health checked.
It said that the medical camp was organised to further address potential health issues arising from agricultural practices, environmental factors, and the general health needs of the community.
It also informed that the free medical camp was conducted as a means of “wellness preparation” in view of the upcoming Laoni festival that will commence in Zhavame village on July 21, 2025.
The organizers stated appreciation for the efforts of the medical staffs of Sub Health Centre, Zhavame for assistance while also acknowledging the Chieswema Battalion, Assam Rifles for generously providing logistic support, Doctors and medical staffs, and providing free medicines.
It also stated that the medical Camp benefitted 305 villagers including 155 females, 100 males and 50 children.
