
Zunheboto, April 21 (DIPR): The 111th BSF Battalion, Satakha in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Zunheboto unit conducted a free medical camp on April 21 at Satami Village under Aghunato Subdivision.
Speaking on the occasion as chief guest, Vice Patron and founding member IRCS, and Advisor to Chief Minister, Huskha Yepthomi spoke on International Red Cross Society. While lauding the contribution of IRCS throughout the world, the chief guest said the contribution of IRCS was immense not only in times of war but also during natural calamities and disasters.
He also thanked the Commandant, 111BSF Bn, and his subordinate officials, CMO (SG), Dr. L.L Mandal and his team for the sacrifices in carrying out the humanitarian task by carrying out such camp in remote areas like in Satami village. Altogether, 11 Booths with 9 specialized doctors conducted free medical checkup. Meanwhile, IRCS has also thanked the Parliamentary Secretary, Soil and Water Conservation, Pukhayi Assumi, CMO, Zunheboto, Medical Superintendent, District Hospital, Pharmacy owners at Zunheboto for their contribution towards the medical camp.
The programme was also attended by ADC, Zunheboto, Nungsangmenla Imchen, 2I/C, Nitin Gupta, Dy. Commandant, Huska Sema and a host of dignitaries. Altogether more than 220 patients were treated and were given free medicines during the said medical camp.
