Free medical camp underway at NHAK

Kohima, March 21 (DIPR): After successfully conducting free medical camp last year through the initiative of Governor of Nagaland PB Acharya, a team of doctors from Mumbai headed by Director Prof. (Dr) KC Mohanty has arrived here in Kohima for a health camp which will be held for four days from March 21 to 24 at NHAK.   The free multidisciplinary medical camp is organized by Environmental Medical Association Mumbai and Indian National Fellowship Centre to promote interstate relationship as part of national integration and to serve the people of Nagaland.

  Dr. Mohanty informed that the team will conduct free surgery on the needy patients and also distribute free medicines to deserving patients. He further informed that there will be open house discussion on March 22 with the local doctors, nurses and interested persons on medical education at Naga Hospital Authority, Kohima.   The medical specialists include Prof (Dr.) KC Mohanty- Chest Specialist; Dr. Varsha Phadke- Paediatrician; Dr. Satish Vaidya- Cardiologist; Dr. Agam Vora- Chest Physician; Dr. IS Gilada- Dermatologist; Dr. M. Sundrani- Chest Physician; Dr. Satil Bendre- General Physician and Prof (Dr.) Geeta M. Niyoni- Gynaecologist.     Free medical camp held in Pfütsero   Under the initiative of Governor of Nagaland PB Acharya, free medical camp was held in Pfütsero on March 21 with Prof. Dr Salil Bendre, Chest Physician and Bronchoscopist, Head of Department of Chest Medicines and Prof. Dr. RM Sundrani, MD (BOM), Department of Pulmonology, G.T Hospital Mumbai, organized by Environmental Medical Association Mumbai and Indian National Fellowship Centre.   The camp was assisted by Medical Officers of Pfütsero Community Health Centre, where hundreds of patients from nearby villages availed the services including medicines which were provided free of cost.
