
Peren, August 30 (MExN): Roads Organisation (Sewak /15 TF/98 RCC) with support from National Health Mission organized a free medical camp at Willang village, 36 km from Maram on Maram-Peren road, on August 29.
The aim of the medical camp, according to a press release, was to provide basic medical facilities for the remotely located village and also to create awareness about the importance of health and hygiene. More than 600 people from different villages like Magaimai, Kavanam, Sangnkmai, Kamalong, Tampung etc availed the services provided at the medical camp.
A team of nine doctors including pediatrician, gynecologist, radiologist, eye specialist and dental surgeon attended to the patients. An array of investigations like hemoglobin, blood sugar, lipid profile, kidney and liver function test, X-ray, ultrasound and ECG were made available for the sick patients. Sanitary napkins were also distributed to emphasize on healthy and hygienic habits, the release added.
