Free multi-speciality medical camp for Nagaland Government Staff, Police

Kohima, June 23 (MExN): Gurgaon-based Medanta-The Medicity will organise a three-day Medical Camp in Kohima in partnership with IDAN, Government of Nagaland; Directorate of Industries and Commerce; and Nagaland Police from June 25 to 27.

The multi-speciality medical camp, is being organised subsequent to Medanta signing an MoU with the Nagaland government for accreditation to the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS),. Stated an update received here. 

Dr Naresh Trehan, Chairman and Managing Director of Medanta, noted that NE region has long been underserved with respect to heath care services. “At Medanta, we believe that quality healthcare should be a right, not a privilege and through this initiative, we reaffirm our mission to make cutting-edge healthcare accessible to all, no matter where they live,” he shared.

The camp, which starts at 10:00 am, will be set up at three different locations.

The first day of the medical camp will be held on June 25 at the IDAN, Capital Convention Center, Kohima. The camp is open to all employees and members of IDAN, Nagaland Olympics Association (NOA), and its affiliated sports confederations. Sharingain Longkumer, Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, will attend as the chief guest.

On day two (June 26), the medical camp will be organised at the Directorate of Industries and Commerce Office, Kohima, for its employees and all affiliated Public Sector Enterprises. P Tokugha Sema, Director of Industries and Commerce, will grace as the chief guest.

The day three medical camp (June 27) will be conducted at the Police Headquarters, Nagaland Police, Kohima, exclusively for all police personnel. Rupin Sharma, IPS, Director General of Police (DGP), will inaugurate the camp. The Nagaland Police has urged all its personnel to attend and avail the healthcare services provided during the camp.

Attendees to the camp have been encouraged to bring any previous medical records, if available.
