Free treatment for cleft lip and palate in Kohima

A free treatment for cleft lip and palate (Mission Nagaland) will take place from April 29 to 30 at Oking Hospital Kohima under Smile Train Shija Cleft Project.  

There are about 3300 cleft patients in Nagaland.  

So far, Smile Train Cleft Shija Project under Mission Nagaland in collaboration with Oking Hospital Kohima, covered more than 600 cleft patients in Nagaland, Dr. Kh. Palin, Smile Train Partner plastic surgeon of Shija Hospitals, Manipur told media persons here today.  

He said the treatment will be absolutely free including free medicines, free operation, and travelling allowance.  

Meanwhile, cleft week will start from April 17 to 23 to spread awareness on cleft lip and palate.
