Guwahati, September 8 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) registered freight loading of 0.950 million tonne (MT) in August, 2022, indicating an increase of 17% in comparison to the corresponding period last year.
Overall, from April to August this financial year, the NFR has loaded 4.961 MT, showing an increase of 24.1% over last year, an official release informed.
In August, coal loading increased by 122.2% and loading of few other commodities also increased by a good margin in comparison to corresponding period of the previous year, it said.
Fertilizer loading increased by 25%, dolomite by 11.1%, POL by 7.7% and other commodities increased by 62.5%, it added. During the current financial year from April to August, coal loading increased by 1282.1%, among others.
