A fresh criminal revision petition has been filed before the Gauhati High Court Kohima Bench (GHCKB) of by IAS officer Reny Wilfred in connection with the sexual harassment case against him.

The revision petition challenges several proceedings arising from the case, including the dismissal of the petitioner's discharge application by the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Kohima, and orders relating to the framing of charges.

After hearing the parties on May 27, Justice Yarenjungla Longkumer issued notice returnable within four weeks and permitted the petitioner to place additional documents on record, including an order dated May 20, 2026, by which charges were framed against him.

Notably, the notice was issued on the same day the Supreme Court dismissed the IAS officer’s Special Leave Petition challenging an earlier GHCKB December 12, 2025 judgment that had refused to quash the criminal proceedings.

However, while the proceedings before the Supreme Court concerned the earlier challenge to the complaint, FIR and chargesheet, the revision petition includes subsequent developments.

The High Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits or maintainability of the revision petition and the matter is scheduled to be taken up again after four weeks.
