Ahead of Dr T Ao Inter-district football championship 2022 to be held from April 18-29 at Mokokchung, a friendly football match was played today between the Kohima District Football Association (KDFA) and Football Association of Tseminyu District (FATD) at the Indira Gandhi Stadium Kohima to strengthen brotherhood.

The FATD was recently formed following the upgradation of Tseminyu subdivision under Kohima district to that of a district.

FATD team manager Chenonlo Woch, said that the new team which was once part of KDFA is grateful to it for the constant support.

Mentioning that the FATD players have reaped benefits through the KDFA, he hoped that the existing spirit of brotherhood between the two will only grow though the players have been divided to two teams now. KDFA president Mathew Yhome also exhorted the players ahead of the match, encouraging the players to play a safe game.

Yhome also advised the players to be disciplined and maintain the sportsmanship spirit.

The match went in favor of KDFA with the score line 3-1.
