DIMAPUR, APRIL 5 (MExN): The second day of the Frolic Cup served up some exciting football action, with commanding victories for United Falcon Club (UFC), Medziphema FC and Dream Team Tsiepama, while Libra FC edged past United FC Piphema in a dramatic finish.
In the morning’s first match, United Falcon Club (UFC) made a strong statement with a dominant 5-0 victory over Lazer FC. Despite a goalless first half where UFC missed several chances, the second half saw a clinical display of attacking football.

Viketuozo Vasa opened the scoring early in the second half (45’), followed by Roshan Gurung (54’), Keneingulie (57’), and Ameka Shohe (66’), who completed the rout. UFC’s relentless pressure proved too much for Lazer FC, who couldn’t get a foothold in the game.

The second match of the morning saw Medziphema FC assert their dominance with an 8-0 thrashing of FC Khannougol. Despite a spirited effort from the youthful Khannougol side, they were outclassed by the more experienced Medziphema squad.

Manton kicked off the scoring in the 2nd minute, followed by goals from Kanumdi (9’), Ayen (20’, 26’, 49’), Moalong (25’, 35’), and Sentilong (65’). Medziphema’s offensive juggernaut was too much for the Khannougol defense to handle.

Dream Team Tsiepama showcased their attacking prowess in a 6-1 victory over Detroit FC Kukidolong. The game saw Kevimezo Swu (21’), Mhasivizo Geiso (26’), Keneixhütso (28’, 34’), Kevisezo (60’), and Kekhrieseto Chalieu (67’) all get on the scoresheet.

Detroit FC managed to pull one back through John in the 15th minute, but it was little more than a consolation in an otherwise one-sided affair.

The evening match was a thriller, as Libra FC overcame United FC Piphema 4-3 in a dramatic contest. Libra made an early statement with goals from Seiminlun (14’) and Alumai (16’), but United FC quickly responded, with Sedevilie pulling one back in the 19th minute.

The second half saw United FC come roaring back, with two quick goals from Rovizo (52’) and Asezo (54’) to take a 3-2 lead. However, Libra FC wasn’t done yet. Lalminseh equalized for Libra in the 56th minute, and with extra time looming, Paolenlal scored the match-winner in the final moments, securing the 4-3 victory.
