Medziphema, February 4 (MExN): In the morning first match of the Frolic Cup, Medziphema Village Youth Organization over came the Chester United. In a closely contested first half, the first goal came from Ketoho for MVYO in the 31st minute, however, Kevisekho of Chester equalized in the 35+ minute. The second half witnessed a determined MVYO completely dominating the game.
The lead for MVYO was provided in the 50th minute through Menuoneikho. The game was sealed when Thejasehuo scored the 3rd goal in the final minute.
MVYO won with three goals against one from their opponent.
The afternoon match, the first quarter final Amigos FC booked their seat in the Semis after overcoming the Sirhima FC. In a match of complete midfield domination, the Amigos destroyed the Sirhima defence.
The goal for the Amigos came from Kekhrie (16th minute), Kakhevi (30th minute) Toka (34th minute), Menguzelie (44th minute) and Rhitso (49th minute). The consolation game for the Sirhima came from Thanghao in the 42nd minute.
Amigos scored 5 goals while Sirhima FC scored 1.
In the second quarter final, Fury FC defeated the VFA FC and proceeds to the semis. In a high scoring game with lots of missed chances, Fury scored 5 goals and took the win. Despite the fight for a come back, the complete dominance with superb passing of Fury FC sealed the game. Jangmilen (15 minute) Temjenwati (28 minute) Thülünso (54 and 57 minute) Hailaujibe (68 minute) were the goal scorer for the Fury. Puleka scored the lone goal for the VFA in the 44th minute.
