Frontal Eastern Naga bodies meet ENNWU

Dimapur, June 11 (MExN): Frontal bodies of Eastern Nagaland met with the Eastern Naga National Workers Union (ENNWU) of the NSCN (IM) on June 10 at Bookmarc, Bank Colony, Dimapur, and discussed various issues relating to the people of Eastern Nagaland and the circumstances leading to the suffering of its people.  

Led by Eastern Naga People’s Organization (ENPO) President, Khoiwang Konyak, the frontal bodies included Eastern Naga Women Organization (ENWO), Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF), all six tribal Presidents.  

The ENNWU, on the other hand, was led by its Convener B. Moba Chang, Kilonser, Co-Convener, Thsanfu, Steering Committee Member, General Secretary, LP Kamthong, Steering Committee Member, Jt. Secretary, Bitong, Dy. Kilonser and other senior workers including Collective Leadership Members, Tongmeth Wangnao and TT Among.  

The ENPO President while addressing the meeting stressed on unity and peace and reiterated the stand of the Eastern Nagas for a separate state demand. Towards this, Khoiwang requested that the Collective Leadership supplement the message to Delhi and explain the plight of the eastern areas and look into the matter positively.  

The Meeting concluded with reaffirmation on the declaration of ENPO resolution 2002 to support the ongoing peace process with Government of India and that the peace process must be continued and strengthened till logical solution, a press release from the MIP NSCN (IM) stated.
