‘Sampoorna Abhiyan Samman Samaroh’ with focus on Akuhaito Aspirational Block held

To recognize and encourage the contributions of frontline workers and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) under the Aspirational Block initiative, ‘Sampoorna Abhiyan Samman Samaroh’ programme was held at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Zunheboto on July 30, focusing on the Akuhaito Aspirational Block.
Picto Shohe, MLA of 32 Atoizu Assembly Constituency, graced the event as the special guest. In his speech, he acknowledged that while some progress has been made, the Akuhaito Aspirational Block has not recorded any significant achievements since the launch of the programme in 2023. Now entering its third year, the block continues to face basic infrastructure challenges, including the absence of bus services and poor road conditions. The Atoizu Block, categorized as backward, comprises 16 villages and four towns. The block ranked 8 positions in 500 blocks across India.
The programme was chaired by Rosemary, District Programme Manager (DPM) of the National Health Mission (NHM), welcome address was delivered by Dr. Samuel Akho Konyak P, Extra Assistant Commissioner and Nodal Officer for the Akuhaito Aspirational Block.
Deputy Commissioner of Zunheboto, Dharam Raj, IAS, delivered the keynote address. He emphasized that the goal of the programme is to support, empower and to felicitate the frontline workers and SHGs, and to promote the overall development of the block envisioning it as a model not only for Nagaland but globally.
Special performances were presented by Mughato Achumi and Gloria Phuleshe. A PowerPoint presentation was delivered by Kivikali, Aspirational Block Fellow, highlighting the events conducted under Akuhaito Aspirational Block.
As part of the Sampoornata Abhiyan, several block officials and frontline workers were felicitated. These included District Soil Conservation Officer; Junito K. Zhimomi, CDPO; Nikuto Chishi, CDPO; Dr Gihuka V. Chishi, Medical Officer; Gokheli, Block Programme Manager of NSRLM; Mugholi Jakhalu, Community Health Officer of Lokobomi; Tolika Z. Katty, Anganwadi worker; Nishili, Anganwadi worker from Naghuto village; Avini Yeptho, SHG from Vekuho New Village.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Heipeuding Ilunglung, Block Development Officer of Akuhaito.
The event concluded with the inauguration of stalls set up by various SHGs and government departments, showcasing local products and development initiatives under the Aspirational Block programme.
