‘Fruit Ninja' is the latest mobile app to get the big screen treatment after 'Angry Birds. 'Tripp Vinson will produce a live-action comedy based on the second highest-selling iOS game of all time, The Hollywood Reporter said. 'Fruit Ninja' has had more than 1 billion downloads and centres on ninjas who slice their way through the likes of pineapples and strawberries. The two have previously adapted 'How to Survive a Garden Gnome Attack,' based on the 2010 book by Chuck Sambuchino, which is being developed by Robert Zemeckis's ImageMovers and Sony Animation . Vinson Films has partnered with Halfbrick Studios for 'Fruit Ninja,' with Sam White and Tara Farney serving as executive producers.
