
Kidima, October 20 (MExN): The Provincial of Franciscan Sisters of Saint Mary of the Angels (FSMA), Jaipur Province, Sister Ishpriya concluded her five-day canonical visit of Sisters working in Nagaland at Kidima on October 20. FSMA Sisters are serving in the village.
During the tour, Sister Ishpriya visited schools, interacted with the students and academicians, leader, held meeting with nuns and held home visits.
The Provincial has informed that the congregation of FSMA is planning to establish as a residential school for mentally disabled children in Signal Angami village in Dimapur.
Land has been acquired in Diezephe (Dimapur) for opening school in English medium to bring up the deprived children for the neighbouring villages, she said.
The future plan for the FSMA in Nagaland is to set up more centres for socio-pastoral ministry in the most need of the human resource development, the Provincial added.
The FSMA already established the convents like Atoizu, Dimapur, Kidima and Khuzama for the co-mission in education and religious faith.
The Provincial also made an appointment to meet Bishop of Kohima Diocese before she leaves to other states, a press release informed.
Sister provincial complimented the unique culture and traditions of the Nagas and expressed confident that the young educated would come forward for a change with development, it added.
