Fun World Play Area and Cafe in Kohima opens

One of the newest play spaces for toddlers and kids in the capital city, Kohima, Fun World Play Area and Cafe was inaugurated by Southern Angami I MLA, Kevipodi Sophie in Kohima on February 9.

Located at PH Park Emporium, First Floor, opposite Kohima Smart City Parking Building, PR Hill, the new space has been opened for toddlers and kids at an affordable rate. 

Sophie giving a short speech after the inauguration lauded the young entrepreneurs today for exploring avenues at their disposal to create innovative spaces for children who can be entertained and be engaged in healthy play with their peers. 

Sophie opined that it is a rare space for kids as this kind of facilities are not available in Kohima town area and maybe a first in the town.

“With great idea, you have renovated this play area for our children,” he said. 

Sophie said in this kind of play area, we give opportunity to our children to come together and learn to play and also get to know each other which will definitely help in enhancing the learning and skills of children. 

It will not only help give children a healthy social space but show them the way for social interaction which is in contrast of sedantary behaviour being observed in many children this days due to inclination towards to technology tools and gadgets. 

The MLA wished the proprietors a successful endeavour and hoped that children make best utilisation to gain more knowledge and come closer to each other. 

Vimeyie Kulnu Proprietor Fun World speaking about the new space said that the motive behind setting up such space is to provide a place for them to relax, have fun and exercise their bodies as today kids are engrossed in mobile or technology. 

As to ensure the safety of children, he said with caretakers monitoring the space, some areas like the double deckers will not be permitted for toddlers. He added there are also ample play stations designed for these toddlers. 

Per session, upto 15-20 kids are permitted. 

The space is charged on hourly basis. For toddlers, 1 hour and 30 minutes, it is priced Rs 300 and Rs 350 for 2 hours and beyond. While for kids, it is Rs 300 for an hour, 350 for 1 and half hour and Rs 400 for 2 hours and beyond. Adults or caretaker is charged Rs 150. The play area is also attached to cafe located just outside the area.
