Bringing cheers to the populace of Mokokchung, Nagaland’s CAWD & Taxes Advisor, Kudecho Khamo today inaugurated the GA (General Administration) Rest House at Mokokchung in the presence of Transport and Technical Education Advisor, Temjenmenba, and Minorities Affairs and Sericulture Advisor Imkongmar.
Perhaps, this is one of the first acts of the inauguration of the government projects in Nagaland after the formation of the new government in the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly.
“We have created this asset in the interest of the people,” said Khamo while addressing the inaugural function. This is the beginning and more development will take place, he said.
He congratulated the contractor T Lima Ao for according workmaship and timely completion of the project. He also thanked Er Sungtiba Amer and other officials of CAWD for taking all the initiatives towards the accomplishment of the project.
‘Under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Nagaland is witnessing peace and progress across the state,’ he maintained.
In this, the Advisor made a fervent appealed to the people to extend their cooperation and support to the government and avail various welfare and developmental packages.
Advisors Temjenmenba and Imkongmar including Mokokchung Deputy Commissioner, Shashank Pratap Singh also spoke at the programme. Earlier, the programmee was chaired by Abeinuo Jasmine Ashao, EAC Mokokchung.
GA Rest House Mokokchung details
Er Sungtiba Amer, Executive Engineer CAWD, Nagaland informed that the building was conceptualized during 2014-15 as per the requirements of the department, incorporating all the requisites requirements.
“It is indeed a proud moment for the state, that this GA Rest House has come into a reality, which was a long felt need of the department and the citizens of Mokokchung District as well as the ENPO areas during their transit travel,” Er Amer said.
The project was constructed at the estimated cost of Rs 350.00 lakh. The work was started in 2015 and completed in 2022. The building is (G+1) storied RCC structure with a basement and total plinth area of 7, 438 sqft. The basement houses kitchen, dining room, dormitory and 1 toilet. Ground floor consist two suite rooms, two deluxe rooms, one hall and one common toilet. The first floor houses two suite rooms, three deluxe rooms and a lobby.
