Aghunato, January 9 (MExN): A newly constructed General Administration (GA) Rest House in Aghunato was inaugurated on January 9 by G Ikuto Zhimomi, Advisor for Land Resources, Government of Nagaland.
In his address, the Advisor emphasised that government property belongs to the public and urged citizens to treat it as their own, using it wisely and responsibly.
Zhimomi formally handed over both rest house buildings to the administration, stating that all rules must align with government guidelines, informed a press release. “The public and tourists should strictly follow these rules when using the GA Rest House and other public properties at ADC Headquarters, Aghunato,” he added.
Looking ahead, the Advisor highlighted that Aghunato town will celebrate its 75th Platinum Jubilee in 2027. He called upon the administration to lead the celebrations as head and chairman, and also urged public and organisational support for a grand event.
Prior to the rest house inauguration, Zhimomi commissioned a new ambulance at the Community Health Centre (CHC), Aghunato, acknowledging the Medical Department of Nagaland for providing the vehicle. He also expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio for his continued assistance and support.
The event was attended by government officials, medical staff, GBs, elders and public leaders, the release added.
