Tuensang, April 11 (DIPR): Under the initiative of Urban Development and Tuensang Town Council, neighbourhood sanitation committees and garbage collection vehicles was launched on April 11 at Town Hall, Tuensang Town by T. Khongo Brand Ambassador, Swatchh Bharat Mission Tuensang District as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion he appreciated ADC and Administrator Tuensang Town Council, Nchumbemo Odyuo for taking initiative in buying Garbage Collection Vehicles which is much needed in the district. He said that Tuensang town should be kept clean to set an example to the village areas. Dumping of waste in residential area can bring many communicable diseases, he said and added that Clean India under Swatchh Bharat Mission is one of important schemes of present Central Government. He stated that due to our negligence in waste management there is a change in our environment also. Let us not be selfish for our next generation and we should change our way of life and mind set to kept clean and clear environment, he exhorted.
