Gau Pratishtha Andolan to reach Kohima

Kohima, September 8 (MExN): The Gau Pratishtha Andolan, a movement aimed at elevating the cow to the status of 'Rashtra Mata' and incorporating cow protection into the central list of the Indian Constitution, is set to gain momentum with the upcoming Gau Dhwaj Sthapana Bharat Yatra. The nationwide yatra will commence on September 22 and run until October 26.

The Gau Dhwaj Sthapana Bharat Yatra will see Shankaracharya and Pujya Gopal Mani traveling through all Indian States and Union Territories, installing a sacred Gau Dhwaj in each state capital. The journey will kick off in Ayodhya, where a grand Gau Pratishtha Sammelan will mark the beginning of the yatra. The procession will traverse the length and breadth of India, culminating in the national capital, Delhi, on October 26.

In Kohima, Nagaland, Shankaracharya is scheduled to arrive on the evening of September 27. The following day, he will preside over the installation of the Gau Dhwaj at the Gau Mahasabha from 9 AM to 12 PM, before proceeding to Imphal, Manipur.

The primary objective of the yatra is to mobilize cow devotees across the country, unite them under a common cause, and restore the cow's revered status. The rallying cry of the movement is: "Gau Mata, Rashtra Mata – Rashtra Mata, Bharat Mata."
