Gauhati High Court Kohima Bench at Kiphire celebrates platinum jubilee

Kiphire, April 17 (MExN): The closing ceremony of 75th platinum jubilee celebration of Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench at Kiphire was held in the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Kiphire on April 14.

During the programme, Phuleto Yeptho, NJS, CJM Kiphire, highlighted some of the landmark judgments given by the Supreme Court, stated a DIPR report. Laws such as the Juvenile and POSCO Act are placed to keep the children from committing crimes and to help them if they are victims of one, he stated. “So if the parents find out that their children are sexually abused and assaulted irrespective of gender,” he stated while urging to approach them without any hesitation as they are always there to tackle the problems of every child by giving the right judgment to the victim. Michael Aye, APP in his message said that the reason behind the celebration of the platinum jubilee is the hard work of those persons who had sacrificed for the betterment of society. 

“Kiphire District is still a young district as compared to other districts, we still have to go a long way so practically all the employees who are posted here should be sincere and diligent in their work and duties,” he added.

The programme was chaired by Tsasela Sangtam, a special presentation by Leochum, and a traditional folk dance by Eastern Sumi Totimi Hoho.
