A Gaonbura (GB) of NST Colony, Dimapur Diswang Hau died in a tragic accident on July 10 when the car he was travelling in (a white Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire) skidded off into a drainage near Peducha-Sechü Zubza, Kohima. Initial reports suggest that late Hau was the sole occupant of the vehicle during the time of the accident.
In light of the incident, NST Colony Council, Joint Council Forum (JCF) NST, Churches Colony, and Middle Point and the Tangkhul Union Dimapur (TUD) have expressed sadness at the passing of Diswang Hau, a GB of NST Colony.
The NST Colony Council stated that late Hau served as the Chairman of NST Colony from 2018 till 2024 and was elected to serve as the GB in 2024 till his untimely demise.
He was a sincere and dedicated man who genuinely worked for the welfare and betterment of the colony and society as a whole, the Council shared.
