
Dimapur, October 16 (MExN): A one day sensitization programme for GBs/Chairmen on vulnerability mapping & disease profiling for Urban Dimapur was held on October 16 at Tourist Lodge which was organized by National Urban Health Mission.
During the sensitization programme Dr. K. Vikato Kinimi, Chief Medical Officer urged the participants to cooperate for the success of the survey which is for the benefit of the general public. The survey will also reflect on the Diseases pattern of the population and shall be implemented on the two existing Wellness Centre in the UPHCs which will provide free treatment to all the under privileged families.
Dr. Aomeren Longkumer, GDMO Seikhazou UPHC Kohima was the resource person for the programme. He briefed on vulnerability assessment and disease profile tools and also highlighted on the importance of the upcoming survey for the welfare of the people. The programme was chaired by Supongbenla Lemtur, Deputy Director IEC Bureau, DHFW Kohima. Altogether 62 GBs/Chairmen attended the workshop and was also attended by Deputy CMO, Dimapur, DIO Dimapur and RRT WHO.
It may also be mentioned that the survey for Vulnerability mapping & Disease profiling for urban Dimapur will be conducted from October 24 in all the urban wards under Dimapur. The first batch training for ASHAs, youth volunteers and Mahilla Arogya Samiti will be held on October 22 for ward No. 1, 21, 10, 11, 09, 13, 12, 14, 15, 23, 07, and 16. The second batch training will be held on October 23 for ward no. 03, 22, 04, 05, 02, 08, 20, 06, 17, 18 and 19. The training venue will be at Town Hall Dimapur from 9:30 am onwards.
