GBs told to show the path of righteousness

Dimapur, June 20 (MExN): The Western Sumi Kukami Hoho (WSKH) observed its 12th General Session on June 20 at L. Hotovi village under Khaghaboto area. The inaugural session was graced by Shetoyi Sumi, MLA and Chairman NHHDC Ltd, Government of Nagaland as the chief guest. Azheto Zhimomi, MLA also graced the occasion.

Addressing the congregation of GBs, the chief guest said that GBs have a great role to play in the society and should be trend setter of good things in the community. He urged the GBs to show the path of righteousness to the villagers and love those who are less privileged. The MLA added, “The world has changed and we must also change accordingly and focus on how to work for our future.” He donated a sum of Rs. 1 lakh towards WSKH. 

District and Session Judge, Nagaland, L. K. Achumi spoke on the Role of GBs. Others who spoke on the occasion include MLA Azheto and WSKH president, Shikuto Zalipu also spoke on the occasion. Hokugha K. Zhimomi, Assembly Speaker, Naga Hoho exhorted the gathering in the second session. Rev. Vitoshe Swu, Executive Secretary, WSBAK Akuvuto prayed for the GBs.   

The inaugural programme was chaired by Y. Isawoto Zhimomi, head GB Nikhekhu village and Convenor Programme Committee and, Hejeto Yepthomi, GB Nikihe village. 

The invocation prayer was said by Lujeto, Chairman Khaghaboto Area Pastors’ Fellowship. GB of the host village Hokheto welcomed the participants. V. Hovikhe, head GB Vihokhu village said the vote of thanks and Rev. Ahoshe, Pastor L. Hotovi village pronounced the benediction.

In the second session, WSKH Secretary (Admn) Kawoto Aye, head GB, Xekiye village; WSKH Treasurer, Z. Ahoto Awomi, GB Hoito village presented their report. Besides hundreds of G.Bs under Western Sumi, host public leaders, government officials and members of various frontal organizations attended the programme.   

Meanwhile, WSKH in a press release said that Y. Isawoto Zhimomi, head GB Nikhekhu village and Convenor Programme Committee, on behalf of the WSKH, has expressed gratitude to all those who helped the Hoho in making the programme a successful one.
