Dimapur, November 2 (MExN): A disgruntled GBs Union Dimapur has appealed to the Nagaland Government for early election to the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) saying that development activities and sanitation has taken a backseat; while collection of taxes has risen dramatically under the present DMC Advisory Board. GBs Union President, Viyeto Chishi appealed to the Government and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to keep the activities of DMC within the parameters of the Nagaland Municipal Act, and to streamline or curtail the powers of the Advisory Board.
