Wokha, August 7 (MExN): District Administration, Department of Social Welfare and Sanklap-Hub for Empowerment of Women organised a gender awareness session in observance of 100 Days special awareness campaign activities for the staff of Deputy Commissioner Office Wokha at DC conference hall, Wokha on August 7.
A DIPR report stated that EAC, Wokha Rozy Sangtam, delivering the keynote address lauded for initiating such programme for the government employees and was opined that through the programme they will be educated and also respected in maintaining healthy atmosphere at work places.
Gender Specialist, Merithung Lotha, highlighted about the functioning of District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) and briefly apprised some of the schemes available for women. Advocate, Thungbeni Kikon (Case Worker Sakhi-One Stop Centre) presented a power point on sexual harassment at work place.
The programme was chaired by Chichanthung L Ezung, while vote of thanks was proposed by District Mission Co-ordinator, DHEW, Wonchano E Enny.
