Mokokchung, November 16 (MExN): General Conference of Mokokchung District Village Development Board (VDB) Association was held on November 16 at Town Hall, Mokokchung with Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, SachinJaiswal, IAS as the Guest of Honour.
According to a DIPR report, the Deputy Commissioner expressed appreciation to the VDBs in the district for their commendable jobs in bringing good roads in all the villages in the district.
He asked the VDBs to rope in every section of the society while taking decisions for development or project finalization in their respective villages. He said besides the Village Council, Youth and Women should also be taken into consideration while taking decisions for developmental activities saying that better ideas would come out by putting more heads together.
He commented on having vision to carry out schemes so that whatever development activities are being done today will not only benefit us but the future generations as well.
Introductory speech was delivered by President, Mokokchung District VDB Association, Dr. Imti Atsongchanger, key note address was said by Project Officer, DRDA Mokokchung, Toshimongla, short speeches were delivered by Council Chairman of Kangtsung and Changtongya Villages.
