Hebron, December 16 (MExN): A one day Winter Session of the Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim (GPRN) was held on December 16 at Council Headquarters, Hebron.
Vice President Gen (Rtd) Kholi in his speech, which was read out by the Convener, Steering Committee, Qhevihe Chishi Swu, reiterated that “the political negotiation with the Government of India (GOI) is making positive progress and it is important that all Nagas must not lose sight of the final goal ahead of us.” He also reminded that “the adversaries are working hard to divide among ourselves and to divide our land.” Therefore, Gen (Rtd) Kholi cautioned the Nagas to be aware of the danger of self-destruction and stand firmly against all inimical forces, according to a press release from MIP, NSCN (IM).
Earlier, the session started with an obituary report by the Defense Kilonser Lieut. Gen. (Rtd) NG. Markson, VC. A silent prayer was observed in remembrance of the martyrs.
Meanwhile, Speaker Ashiho Asoumai discussed thoroughly the presidential speech and various agendas of national importance. He also adjourned the session sine die.
