DIMAPUR, MARCH 10 (MExN): The Government High School, Phüsachodü held its annual sports meet from February 28 to March 3. The inaugural function was graced and the sports meet declared open by Colonel Rajat Tyagi, Commandant 9th Assam Rifles, Tsiesema on February 28 at the school ground. The programme started with a prayer by Vevotso Theluo, Pastor Phüsachodü Baptist Church and Mese Kapfo, Headmaster welcomed the guests to the function. Chairman of the Village Council, Duporü Rüho also graced the function as the Guest of Honour. The Chief Guest in his speech encouraged the students to be responsible and to always do what is right even if it is the hard way. He also emphasized on the importance of sports in a students’ life so as to be physically and mentally fit and concluded by wishing the students to be happy and the best of luck in their endeavours. The inaugural programme concluded with the administering of oath to the students by the Physical Education Teacher, Küduveta Vero.
