GHS Pughoboto ‘neglected over years’ renovated

Pughoboto, November 9 (MExN): The Government High School Pughoboto which remained “neglected over years” has been renovated through community participation initiated by the school managing board headed by ADC, Pughoboto, according to a DIPR report. The school was established in 1945, but the building was constructed in years 1971-72.   Minister for Road & Bridges, Y. Vikheho Swu, who is also from the particular assembly constituency, funded for repairs of ceiling, construction of school fencing, benches and desk, the report said. He visited the school accompanied by the ADC, Pughoboto on November 7.  

Addressing the school assembly, the Minister impressed upon the students not to destroy or deface any school property. He encouraged the students to fear God stating the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge and that will lead them to finding the purpose in their lives and glorify God. He also reminded them to maintain discipline, honesty, truthfulness at any time “because without character, we have nothing.” He also advised the students to be consistent and focused if one wants to become winner and successful in life.
