GHS Tenyiphe-I gets new school building under Samagra Shiksha

Medziphema, April 27 (MExN): A new high school building at Government High School (GHS) Tenyiphe-I in Nagaland was inaugurated on April 27 by State Mission Director, Samagra Shiksha, L Jamithung Lotha, IAS.

The building, constructed under Samagra Shiksha Nagaland, replaces previously dilapidated classrooms and aims to improve the learning environment for students.

The inauguration programme was attended by departmental officials, village leaders, teachers and students.

The event began with a dedicatory prayer led by Mhienyisielie Thou, Assistant Pastor of Baptist Church Tenyiphe-I.

Addressing the gathering, Lotha called on stakeholders to ensure judicious use and proper maintenance of resources provided by the department from time to time. He also exhorted the attendees to remain true to themselves and their values.

Highlighting the importance of modern education practices, he urged teachers to integrate technology into the learning process and to actively engage in Continuous Professional Development for their own growth and in the interest of the student community.

He further informed that corrective measures are being undertaken to strengthen the department, adding that funds are being allocated and disbursed to schools based on UDISE records.

The programme was chaired by Headmaster Zhavilie Medom, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Menguseu Sote, Coordinator, EBRC Medziphema.
