Morung Express News Dimapur | March 16 The annual sports week of Government High School, Thahekhu began on Thursday at Thahekhu village local ground with the village head GB, Hukiye Yepthomi as the chief guest. Speaking at the programme, Hukiye emphasized on the importance of co-curricular activities for promoting discipline and health fitness among students. He encouraged the students to give their best in the games and exhibit sportsmanship spirit by fostering friendship through such events. “Winning is not the only thing in sports but participation matters,” he added. Later, the chief guest declared the sports week open by kicking a football. The students also performed march pass during the inaugural programme which was attended by faculty of the school, villages elders and leaders.
