Winners of the dog show[/caption]
Commemorating the World Veterinary Day, a Dog show was held during the inaugural function on April 29. Ten dogs participated in the pure-bred category while, five dogs participated in the mixed bred category.

The judges for the show were Dr. Doreen Peseyie, Chief Judge, Dr. Michael Imti Imchen, and Dr. Sungkum Jamir.

Midnight- the first runners up in the pure bred category was born deaf[/caption]
Gifty, a nine year old Cocker Spaniel owned by Meren Walling was declared the winner in the purebred category. Amidst the rare breed of dogs was also Midnight, a four year old Dalmation, who won the first runners up in the pure bred category. Midnight is one of the special dogs, who was born deaf and respond only through sign language, mentioned owner Limatila.

Shiro-a rare breed of white German shepherd[/caption]
Shiro, a rare white German Shepherd from Dimapur, owned by Angulie won the second runners up.
In the mixed breed category, four years old Hunter belonging to Adizo Khezhie, was declared the winner. Hunter was adjudged the winner for his obedient and disciplined manners and also won the audience after posing for a selfie with his owners. Tiny, a mixed bred owned by Apokla won the first runners up while Browny owned by Anei Pele Dianee was declared the second runner up.
