
Chumukedima, September 30 (MExN): The newly constructed drinking water facility at Government Middle School (GMS), New Chumukedima was inaugurated by Deputy Mission Director, State Mission Authority Nagaland, Thekielie Keditsu as chief guest on September 28.
Lauding the School Management Committee for completing the project on time, he said unity among the SMC and sincerity towards their responsibility have resulted in the development. He asked the committee to further give their best service to the development of education at grassroots level.
The chief guest further appealed to the teaching faculty to judiciously provide the best and pure safe drinking water to the pupils. He also called upon the teachers to walk a mile further in providing quality education to the students.
On the demand raised by the SMC Chairman, Thozo Metha, the chief guest assured to provide all possible help for the betterment of the school. While lamenting the lack of required teaching faculty, the SMC Chairman had said that though the school was upgraded to GMS in the year 2010, it still cannot set up class 8 due to lack of enough teaching staff, said a press release. He appealed to the authority concerned to look into the matter and consider the case on priority basis.
The event was also attended by Village Council Chairman along with his members.
