GMS Salangtem students during their visit to Industrial Training Institute, Marepkong Ward, Mokokchung on April 12.
Mokokchung, April 13(MExN): Government Middle School (GMS), Salangtem ward, Mokokchung visited the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) at Marepkong Ward, Mokokchung on April 12 as part of the Nagaland Education Project- The Lighthouse- Nagaland Enhancing Classroom Teaching and Resources (NECTAR). The learners of GMS Salangtem, visited ITI with the objective of enlightening the students about the vocational training avenues on completion of Class ten. The learners were accompanied by their facilitators.
In the Institute, the learners were given an orientation of the various vocational courses offered by the institute, the eligibility criteria etc. The learners were also given a good tour of the institute.
“The visit to the institute has given a hands - on experience and awareness about the working of educational training institutes that prepares people for various skilled crafts,” added one of the facilitators.
